Does AMP Deploy work on Mac or Linux? +
No — AMP Deploy is a Windows-only application (Windows 10 and 11). Mac and Linux are not supported. There is no browser-based or cloud version; the app runs locally on your Windows PC.
Does AMP Deploy work with TopStepX? +
Yes — AMP Deploy is built specifically for the TopStepX platform and uses their official ProjectX API for order execution and real-time market data.
Where do I get a ProjectX API key? +
Log into your TopStepX account at topstepx.com, go to your account settings, and generate a ProjectX API key. You'll paste this into AMP Deploy on first launch.
What strategies are included? +
AMP Deploy comes with 2 pre-built strategies plus a Python template so you can build your own. The included strategies are provided for educational purposes and do not guarantee profitable results. Always trade responsibly.
Can I use my own strategy? +
Absolutely. AMP Deploy supports custom Python strategy files. As long as your strategy has the required run() and signal() functions, you can drop it in and run it live.
Do I need to keep my computer on? +
Yes, AMP Deploy runs locally on your Windows PC. Your machine needs to be on and connected to the internet while bots are active.
How many bots can I run at the same time? +
You can build as many bots as you want, but a maximum of 6 can be active (running) at the same time. This limit exists due to API rate constraints with the TopStepX ProjectX API. You can stop and start bots freely to swap which ones are active.
Can I run AMP Deploy on multiple computers? +
One active session at a time. If you log in on a second device, the first is automatically signed out. This prevents account sharing.
Is this really a one-time payment? +
Yes. Pay $295 once and you own it forever — including all future updates. No subscriptions, no recurring charges.
What if I need help getting set up? +
Email us at support@ampautomations.com and we'll get you sorted. We also include a built-in tutorial in the app to walk you through first-time setup.
Is this allowed by Topstep? +
Yes. TopstepX provides an official API (ProjectX) specifically for automated trading. AMP Deploy uses only that official API — it doesn't scrape screens, bypass any platform rules, or interact with TopstepX in any unauthorized way.
Can this get me banned? +
Using automation through the official ProjectX API is within TopstepX's permitted use. That said, you are still responsible for your own trading rules and account conduct. AMP Deploy enforces risk limits to help you stay compliant, but you should always understand the account rules you're trading under.
What happens if the bot disconnects? +
If the connection drops, the bot stops executing new orders. Any open position stays open — it is not automatically closed. AMP Deploy includes reconnection logic that attempts to restore the API and data feeds, but you should always monitor active trades, especially around volatile market conditions.
Do I need coding experience? +
No. The app includes pre-built example strategies you can run immediately. Coding is only needed if you want to write your own custom strategies. The included Python template makes it straightforward even for traders with basic scripting knowledge.
Does this guarantee profits? +
No. AMP Deploy is a tool for automating strategy execution — it does not guarantee any returns. Strategy performance depends entirely on the logic you deploy. The included example strategies are provided to help you get started, not as signals to blindly follow. You are solely responsible for the performance of your strategies.
